I have been a volunteer in the Bereavement Support team at the Hospice of St Francis for over 7 years, providing one-to-one support to people going through very difficult times. I also work on the Bereavement Support Helpline, contacting people by telephone to see how they are and giving them space to talk if they so wish.
This experience gave me an ambition to support people through other challenges they were facing in their lives. By seeing the dramatic, beneficial benefits of cognitive hypnotherapy and given the different approach of focusing on treating the person as an individual rather than concentrating on the ‘problem’ motivated me to discover more about this approach.
I gained a Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy in February 2020. I am a member of QCHPA and the NCH which binds me by their code of ethics.
I combine my training and experience with a calm, friendly approach, and a particular strength in active listening; all of which, I believe, are essential qualities in a therapist.
I support clients through cognitive hypnotherapy, personal coaching and bereavement support from my base in Berkhamsted, Herts, offering face to face and online sessions, so geography needn’t be a factor if I am the right therapist for you!
I also have a background in commerce beginning with freelance Book Keeping roles in which I provided accountancy services to a wide range of small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in diverse market sectors including Music Arranging, Sports (NFL, London).
I held the position of Finance and Administration Manager for a specialist Project Management Consultancy before becoming a founding shareholder and director of a pan-European Management Consultancy
