Personal Coaching

Personal coaching assists you in using your ability to create conditions for your happiness by finding your flow, learning to feed your core strengths and developing the best version of you. 

Together we will identify any limits you might believe you have that are hindering your ability to find true happiness and fulfilment.  Using techniques from cognitive hypnotherapy, NLP and positive psychology and I will help you overcome these self-imposed barriers. This will help me assist you in identifying a direction and a goal that is right for you.

My approach is based on setting goals, Tasking and motivating you to achieve those goals, leading you to a more balanced life, based on which we will identify the steps you can take to access your flow state, in which previous challenges will feel effortless and life feels positive, enjoyable and just right for you.


Why might I want to invest in personal coaching?

There are many reasons why you may benefit from personal coaching. Some examples are:

Feeling stuck: perhaps you’ve decided you need change, but you don’t know how to bring it about. Perhaps you know what you need to do but don’t know how to get there. Personal coaching can help get you on the right path.

Low self-worth: coaching will help you identify limiting beliefs that you may have, and importantly deal with them.

At work: if you are looking for a job, in the process of changing job, or dealing with a difficult boss, coaching can help you identify the issues that are holding you back and put in place the changes you need to move forward.

What to expect

I offer both face to face and online sessions, and it is up to you which you would prefer. All sessions are tailored to the individual and the techniques used will vary depending on your personal situation.

Face to face sessions take place in the light-filled, relaxing environment of my therapy room, which is situated in a Victorian House and has its own separate entrance.

If you choose online sessions, all you need is an internet connection and a device such as a PC, laptop, tablet or even a smartphone. Your surroundings are important so find a room away from distractions and interruptions.

Free phone consultation

It is important that we are the ‘right fit’ for working together, which I believe is essential in therapy, so I offer a free initial telephone consultation where we can explore whether Personal Coaching is right for you.

First session

The first session will be longest session, at around 90 minutes. In this session we will explore what you need from personal coaching and begin setting goals. Personal coaching combines coaching and cognitive hypnotherapy techniques, and I will use a variety of techniques to identify and remove blocks that are stopping you from achieving your goals.

Subsequent sessions

There is no set formula for how many sessions of personal coaching you will require, but I find I see most people between 3 and 6 times. Sometimes it may be less because the cause can be relatively simple, but in other cases it may take longer if someone is really struggling. Subsequent sessions last approximately 60 minutes. At all sessions we will be setting goals to move you forward.

There will also be work for you to take away and do between sessions, and it is important that you are able to invest time and effort into completing this.
